This purple polyester fabric is used to monitor test chamber conditions as outlined in AATCC Test Method 16. This fabric is temperature sensitive and designed to be used to monitor the temperature sensing devices in the light exposure chambers. Sold in 20 x 30 inch (50.8 x 76.2 cm) cuts.
Standard of Fading for Xenon Reference Fabric 1
Standard of Fading for XRF-1 is purple polyester fabric that has been faded to the specified endpoint as described in AATCC Test Method 16 Colorfastness to Light.
The standard of fading is used as a visual reference for evaluating the amount of fading that has taken place during exposure of the Xenon Reference Fabric 1. If the color change of the exposed standard specimen equals the Xenon Reference Fabric Standard of Fade in 20 ± 2 hours of continuous light exposure, the test equipment is maintaining the correct temperature.
