Blue Wool Lightfastness Standards
This series of dyed blue wool fabrics is used as a calibration and verification tool in AATCC Test Method 16, Colorfastness to Light. The series of fabrics represent amounts of light exposure from 5 AATCC Fading Units to 320 AATCC Fading Units. The fabrics are used as an internal verification to be sure that the equipment is operating consistently and is properly calibrated. The instrumental fading endpoints and the amount of light energy in kJ/m^2/nm @ 420 nm for each of the Blue Wool Lightfastness Standards is given in Table II of Test Method 16. The Blue Wool fabrics available are sold in 50 x 75 cm (20 x 30 in) pieces. A visual Standard of Fading for the L-2 and L-4 fabrics also are available.
L-2 Blue Wool Lightfastness standards are wool fabric used to calibrate and verify testing equipment during lightfastness testing as specified in AATCC Test Method 16 Colorfastness to Light.
L-4 Blue Wool Lightfastness standards are wool fabric used to calibrate and verify testing equipment during lightfastness testing as specified in AATCC Test Method 16 Colorfastness to Light.
Standard of Fading for L-2 is blue wool fabric that has been faded to the specified endpoint as described in AATCC Test Method 16 Colorfastness to Light.
Standard of Fading for L-4 is blue wool fabric that has been faded to the specified endpoint as described in AATCC Test Method 16 Colorfastness to Light.
